Huawei Mate 90 series is expected to debut in September this year, and looks like we have got a possible launch date in this aspect. A new leak suggests when the flagship smartphone lineup alongside the 2026 Kirin chip will show up in the market.
DigitalChatStation recently shared some insights about the upcoming Huawei MatePad tablets and smartwatches. At the same time, the tipster pointed out a key detail.
The tipster dropped an image saying that a mysterious Huawei wearable will debut on September 15, and this could be a possible launch date for the Mate 90 series.
Following the leak, some other tipsters also mentioned that Huawei could unveil the Mate 90 series between September 15 and September 22 in China.
Based on the leaked timeline, it seems that Huawei will launch its 2026 Mate smartphones after the official unveiling of the Apple iPhone 18 Pro models in the market.
Huawei and Apple are often found in a head-on-head battle for their dynamic flagship phone launches. Both brands introduce new-gen handsets in the third quarter of the year, probably in September, leveling up the competition.
Perhaps this year won’t be an exception. And this time, iPhone 18 Pro may directly compete with Mate handsets that were launched in November for the past two years.
Huawei hasn’t confirmed the launch date for the Mate 90 series yet. Hence, it is unclear what the company is planning this time. Though things will get clear soon. Stay tuned.
