MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Mt. Juliet woman is sounding the alarm about Apple Pay schemes, after she claims she lost $3,500.
Janki Patel told FOX 17 News her bank, Bank of America, refuses to pay her back and Mt. Juliet Police Department confirms they are investigating the incident.
According to a report by ConsumerAffairs, Apple Pay schemes are on the rise across the country.
FOX 17 News has contacted the Tennessee Attorney General and the Division of Consumer Affairs to see what the trend is here in Tennessee.
FOX 17 News also plans to speak to Patel and an expert on what you could do to protect yourself from these types of schemes. We are also reaching out to Bank of America, to see if we could try to help Patel.
