On July 14, 2026, Huawei made a major comeback to the global market with the launch of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max. This is the first flagship in years that comes with all of the high-end specs in parallel to its Chinese version.
The Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max brings back the nostalgia of the P20 Pro with a new gradient color scheme, which makes it eye-catching to its core.
The design is all-around flat, giving up on the rounded frame sides used in the past generation. This enables better grip and a sturdy build, which is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and high-temperature and high-pressure resistance.
The front side carries a 6.9-inch large display with a single punch hole on the top. It is a 1.07-billion-color, P3 wide-color-gamut-enabled OLED panel.
Users will see high-quality content with FHD+ resolution and smooth interactions through the 1-120Hz adaptive LTPO refresh rate. Meanwhile, the touch sampling rate is on par with 300Hz. The screen is multi-coated with solutions like glare reduction, scratch resistance, and drop resistance.
Camera
The Pura 90s Pro Max offers exceptional photography with a new camera module. It prioritizes the 50MP ultra-high dynamic range camera in the main slot, coupled with an f/1.4 to f/4.0 variable aperture technology. Giving users clear control over depth and the light intake.
That said, the new 200MP telephoto camera offers exceptional zoomed shots. It supports 4x optical with focal lengths of 24mm, 13mm, and 89mm, respectively. You can crank the zoom up to 100X digital. Not only photos, but the new lens also supports video zoom up to 20x telephoto.
Underneath, the 200MP telephoto has a 1./1.28-inch large sensor with an f/2.6 aperture and CIPA 7.0 Professional-grade image stabilization. Meanwhile, the second-generation true-to-color red maple camera blends colors that are vibrant and realistic in each shot.
These camera hardware features are tagged with a bunch of photo editing tools powered by AI that help users to get the most out of their smartphones.

Battery
This phone exceeds the previous Pura devices with a 6000mAh battery pack. It recharges with 100W wired super fast charging and 80W wireless super fast charging. You should know that the 100W super fast wired charger ships with the phone.
Availaility
Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is entering the global market through Malaysia, which will soon expand through the Middle East and Europe.
The Pura 90 Pro Max is priced at RM 4,899 in Malaysia for the 12GB + 512GB version. That’s over 1000 Euros, which makes sense at a time when the RAM and storage prices are skyrocketing.
